Alexis Jimeson

My name is Alexis Jimeson.  I am a pre-nursing major at Grand Canyon University and this year I am applying to be a residential assistant which is a great opportunity for me. During the past two years at GCU, I have been in many ways struggling -- whether it be with schooling, friends, work, or even my faith -- but I have gotten through it.  I feel all of this will make me a very relatable R.A. and distinguish me from the rest of the applicants.

During my application process, I was asked what described my journey with Jesus Christ and I was hit with this overwhelming warmth of the fact that I finally have a journey with my Lord and Savior.  I have started my journey with the Lord and have put into place what is important to me.  I may have just stared my relationship with Abba, but I can tell you that it will be a close one.  I am very appreciative to the people who have pushed me to my breaking point because without them, I would not be where I am with my Lord, my studies, and my personal life.

With my application, they asked to do the Myers-Briggs personality test.  The personality I got was ENFJ (Extraversion, Intuition, Feeling, Judgement).  I believe ENFJ's are very charismatic.  They are natural-born leaders and full of passion. They inspire others to achieve and to do good in the world.  They take pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community. ENFJ's radiate authenticity, concern, altruism, and are unafraid to stand up and speak when they feel something needs to be said. They find it natural and easy to communicate with others, especially in person.  Their intuitive trait helps people with the ENFJ personality type to reach every mind. The interest ENFJ's have in others is genuine. I feel as though this will make me a great R.A.

Please pray for Alexis's success and prosperity
as she attends college and serves Jesus.

Extended Hope Ministries

Extended Hope Ministries was established in 2007 by Minister Bonnie Alvarado, whose passion is to see hurting individuals healed and restored. Upon receiving God into her life over twenty-five years ago and being set free from the devastation of her own abortions, she now works to help others break through the barriers that prevent them from experiencing true emotional, mental, and spiritual freedom.

Extended Hope Ministries offers no-cost individual counseling to those who have been negatively impacted by abortion. In addition, their website (www.extendedhopeministries.com) serves as a helpful resource to those who've been wounded by abortion, as well as those who desire a greater understanding of its impact.

The subject of abortion can be very complicated, as there is often a broad spectrum of pain and brokenness associated with it. After an abortion, a woman is left to face herself, her sin, her failure, and the loss that she mourns and ultimately has responsibility for. Great pain can also be experienced by those who knew of or were a part of the abortion decision, or those who found out after the abortion.

Many of these hurting individuals suffer silently without realizing that forgiveness and restoration is possible for them. Although an abortion may never be forgotten, there is a healthy place of acceptance and wholeness that does exist. Extended Hope Ministries is here to help you find it.

EHM founder, Minister Bonnie Alvarado, has extensive knowledge and experience in post-abortion and healing ministry. She is a writer and speaker who shares candidly about her past and the deliverance God has done in her life. Her "straight-from-the-heart" style is a welcoming characteristic that makes her easy to connect with. In addition to post-abortion recovery, she also speaks on a variety of other subjects affecting both men and women today. To find out more about counseling or to have her speak at your event, you may contact her directly at (805) 538-0341.

"Abortion is not the finality of destiny." -- Bonnie Alvarado

She can be seen on the program Redemptive Power, which is aired weekly on The Holy Spirit Broadcasting Network.

Please pray for the success and prosperity of
Minister Bonnie Alvarado

ORIANA SAGE

Oriana Sage works primarily in oil paint and ink drawings, with a desire to merge representational and abstracted imagery. She studied Art and Design at California Polytechnic Sate University and gained her BFA in Studio Art in 2014.

Oriana currently teaches private drawing lessons to children and works out of a shared studio space at Atelier 708 in Paso Robles, California.

In the past year, God has grown a deep desire within Oriana to pursue art as a form of ministry and a way to create a personal window into the beauty of God's relationship with us.

Oriana explaining her current work and mindset:

I strive to bring to life the inner workings of my soul, to visually articulate the struggle and triumph that rest beneath an assumed surface.  My paintings examine the close relationship of physical position and the spirit.

I am fascinated by interactions of light bursting through shadow, the two-dimensional emerging into living form, and color conveying depth of feeling and vitality. Some of my favorite conceptual themes are resistance and surrender, death as an avenue to life, and the small and mundane being a metaphor for the transcendent. My process brings together two realms: the seen and familiar and what is unseen, deeply internal and that which must be sought. Familiar portraiture collides with color, movement, and abstraction to reveal this relationship. The imagery of scars and thorns portray a very real struggle, yet the struggle has an opportunity to ascend, the scars grow over with soft skin, the thorns become crowned with gold.

Every image opens a small window to my own internal dialog. The rubbled mire and ache of the world converse with wonder. My deepest hunger and hope is for God Himself - hunger drives, hope ascends.

Please pray for the prosperity and success of Oriana Sage.
