THE PROVISION ROOM

THE PROVISION ROOM
Kristina Evans
and
Daja Gombojav
Kristina is wife to Jordan, mother of two, professional chef, and fitness instructor.
Daja is wife to Gana, mother of seven, childbirth educator, and doula.

Both Kristina and Daja are stay-at-home, homeschooling moms, whose passions are home and hearth.

The Provision Room is where two friends, Kristina and Daja, blog about food, frugality, and being prepared.  Click here and take a look around!  You can track our progress of transforming our messy and not-too-well planned pantries into abundant storehouses (without increasing our food budgets!), get healthy menu plans and recipes, and even take a stop in the prayer closet to spend some time praying for your family.  Don’t forget to meet our merry band of homemaking readers in the Apron Brigade!  Be sure to “Follow” the page because there’s new stuff all the time.

Daja:  "Kristina and I have been friends for about four years.  As Anne said of Diana, she’s a kindred spirit.
"It’s truly a treasure when you meet someone who shares your passions.  In my case–my children, my home, and cheese.  We both love cheese.  Oh, and bread.  Homemade bread with amazing crust.  And chocolate.  Good chocolate, don’t try to buy us off with a Hershey bar.  We want the real stuff.  And while you’re out, pick out a nice bottle of wine to go with the bread and cheese.  Thanks, honey."

2 Moms, 1 Mission
To prepare our homes—kitchens, pantries, and gardens—to be ready in case of emergencies or unexpected life changes.  To do so, we will not increase our food budgets, nor cause our family to subsist on bread and water.  We will strive for the following ideals:
~Real Food
We will not recommend you go out and buy food-like substances just because they have a shelf life.  We will learn to make Real Food last.
~Organic, local and sustainable whenever possible
This is not always possible, but is a lot more possible than people think.  We’ll try to show you how we feed our families while being true to our values.
~Frugality
We will search out things that are genuinely good deals and not just short term solutions.  We will strive to be good stewards of the family finances.
~Environmentally friendly
We will try to find ways to store our food and stock our pantries without resorting to a bunch of disposables that overfill already overfull landfills.
~Transparency
We will not act like we have all the answers and will show you our mistakes and learn to laugh at them!

Beginning March 1, we are having some great give-aways.  The first week is a $50 gift card to Azure and an autographed book, Year of Plenty by Craig L. Goodwin.  Each week in March there will be a different and fantastic give-away!

Be sure to visit each week as we announce new giveaways
and new ways to win!  Some prizes include:

*Skin care spa package from Nutured by Nature
*Healing Balm and Lavender Essential Oils
from Central Coast Lavender Farm
*$25 gift card to Urban Homestead
*Homemade Apron
*60 minute therapeutic massage
*Custom-made wood cheese board
*Cookbook

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS OF THE PROVISION ROOM
AND ALSO FOR KRISTINA  AND DAJA.
PRAY THAT GOD WILL ENLARGE THEIR VISION AND THAT HIS LOVE, PASSION, WISDOM,
AND GRACE WILL FLOW THROUGH THEM.
