MUNKH ERDENE AMGALAN

My name is Munkh Erdene and I am from Mongolia.  My name means Eternal Treasure.  My parents and friends call me Munhuush. I am a miracle in progress.  Please pray for me.  My life through Christ is changing the world.

My mother, Dolgor; me; and my father, Amaa.
They are very committed to the Lord and possess great faith.

My mom is one of the people who are helping translate the Bible into Mongolian.  I also have a four year old sister whose name is Munkh Enerel which means Eternal Grace. She really loves me and prays for me with my parents.

I am only twenty-one months old.  In January, I began feeling really bad. I was sick to my stomach many days.

People from my church in Mongolia
who are praying for me and are grateful for America.

The doctors in Mongolia told my mother that I was having food poisoning.  After many weeks of being very sick, the doctors in another hospital did a CT scan and discovered I had a brain tumor.  The doctors told my mother to take me to another country.  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis was so wonderful to fly my mother and me to America.  I cannot believe that there is a place like St. Jude.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2011, I had about a ten-hour surgery to remove the malignant tumor.  I did very good during surgery because many people all around the world were praying for me.

My mother, me, and Zoe, an eleven year old therapy dog.

The doctor said that I can breathe by myself now, so the nurses took the respitory tube out, which was in my chest  through my mouth.  I am glad that one irritating thing is gone from me.  Now I have been sleeping and resting a lot.  Many people visit me during the day.

Monday will be a big day for me.   At 7:15am, I will have a MRI and lumbar puncture (under sedation).  I will probably start chemotherapy on Wednesday.   The chemo will be given to me in the hospital for three or four days.  I will then be released for a few days to the apartment we are staying in on the St. Jude campus.  Then I will go back into the hospital for chemo for a couple of days.  Then I will have almost three weeks out of the hospital.  Then everything gets repeated for about four months.
