Jay Platt, "Mr. Unstoppable"

Jay Platt, "Mr. Unstoppable"
is a former Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, a cancer survivor, and a highly accomplished adventure athlete. He knows how to succeed, despite the obstacles...
No Matter What

As a professional speaker, author, and coach, Jay has inspired thousands of people to take their performance to the next level and beyond.
Prior to his speaking and coaching career, Jay served for nearly fifteen years as a U.S. Marine.  Entering the Marine Corps at age 17, he saw tours of duty throughout the world, from Parris Island, SC to Okinawa, Japan and various points in between.
During his career as a Marine, he trained recruits as a Drill Instructor, led Marines as a Platoon Sergeant, taught survival skills as a Survival Instructor, and developed Marine leaders as a Marine Corps University Instructor and Advisor.

Then, in 1998, tragedy struck and he was medically retired as a Gunnery Sergeant, due to complications from cancer.  Refusing to allow the disease that attacked his body to end his career, he chose, instead, to use his setback to prove that it’s not what happens to you that matters, but your response to it.

Since his retirement from the Marine Corps, Jay has worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others by raising hundreds of thousands of dollars through various fundraising adventures, and has stacked up some pretty impressive accomplishments in the process.

In 1999, he thru-hiked the more than 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia,
becoming one of fewer than 300 people, at the time,
to have done so.
And in November of 2005, he became only the third person in history to swim the 1½ mile distance between Alcatraz Island and San Francisco with both his hands and feet tied!

Now, through his speaking, writing, coaching, and adventure workshops, he has made it his life’s mission to work with others to help them break through their self-imposed barriers, get more from life, and fully maximize their potential.

Jay has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers, and has been a guest on every major TV network and on dozens of radio shows.  His diverse clientele includes the National Institutes of Health,
IBM, TAP Pharmaceuticals, and the United States Naval Academy.
He is the author and co-author of several books and audio programs, including his latest: No Matter What! How to be Unstoppable, Despite the Obstacles, Starting Today.
Although a Georgia native, he resides in eastern South Carolina where he lives and loves life with his wife, Paz, and their three dogs, Jake, Sadie, and Molly.  You can visit Jay at his website or his blog.

Please pray for The Platt family as they make a powerful impact on lives around the world.  Pray for their success and prosperity and watch them live under an open heaven.
